Juveniles in the Criminal Justice System

The Social Justice Committee of Resurrection is sponsoring two panel presentations on topics related to juveniles in our criminal justice system. The first is Wednesday, March 1 at 7:00pm in the Worship Space. Topics will include laws applying to juveniles, population demographics, detention and probation. Panels will include parishioner Mark Dobrzynski who works at Cuyahoga Hills Juvenile Correction Facility.
The second panel will be held Thursday, March 30 at 7:00pm in the Worship Space. The focus of this panel will be on what is being done to meet the needs of juveniles while in the criminal justice system. Panelists will include parishioner Dennis Castiglione with Power of Harmony ministry.
Both presentations will include conversation around ways parishioners might support young men and women who are incarcerated as well as reform within the criminal justice system.
