GILBERT P. NOVAK age 92, of Solon. Beloved husband of Sophie T. (nee Mazur); loving father of Thomas (Angelo Thomas), James, Judy (Mike) Stephan and Karen (Barry) Eshelman; grandfather of Kelly Novak, Katie Beaumont (Ryan) and the late Lenny Diederich (Janice); great-grandfather of Tyler Diederich, Jack Diederich, Sophie Diederich, Olivia Diederich, Hudson Beaumont and Ellison Beaumont; brother of the late Edward. Veteran, U.S. Army, Korean Conflict. Gil was a Vice-President and General Manager at Lempco Industries, and following that became Vice-President of sales and marketing at Transtar Industries. He was involved with the Boy Scouts for several years, and established an interfaith church volleyball league and softball league in the 1970’s. Gil played softball and golf with the Babes of 1916 and served on the Board of Directors as President.
Friends received Tuesday, June 7 at Church of the Resurrection, 32001 Cannon Rd., Solon, at 10:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Interment at a later date.
