Adoration for Peace

Friday, March 20th at 4pm

Pope Leo IX has been calling on Catholics around the world to join in praying for peace, now in Iran and neighboring countries. He has set the example, publishing his own prayer. As one response, Church of the Resurrection will have a time of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Friday, March 20, from 4:00-7:00pm. The Pope’s prayer and others will be available. At 7:00pm we will pray the Way of the Cross for Peace.  Your presence is a witness to our faith in the power of prayer.

**Whenever Eucharistic Adoration takes place, we need to ensure that someone is in the church. Please sign up for a 15-minute time slot of prayer. You are welcome to sign up for more than one time slot.**

Loaves and Fishes Grants

Church of the Resurrection donates $10,000 annually from the parish operating fund to worthy causes in Northeast Ohio through a grant process named Loaves & Fishes. The project occurs during Lent to remind us that we are part of a community greater than our parish and it is part of our Lenten practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving.

Loaves & Fishes Fund recipients must have a connection to the parish through our members. We ask you to recommend candidates for the fund and make the grant application available to them. Monetary range of grants distributed depends on quality and number of applicants as well as need assessment. Past recipients have included House of Champions, Joseph & Mary’s Home, and Seeds of Literacy. Please click here to see how the money was used last year by DSANEO.

Grant Applications are available here, in the Parish Office or by emailing Sr. Susan at sjavorek@churchofresurrection.org. Deadline to apply is April 7th. Grant awards will be announced on Pentecost, May 24th.
